Heads up, you eco-friendly-ocean-loving-animal-hugging legends, the City of Sydney is working with a bunch of small bars and major venues to say “see ya, wouldn’t wanna be ya” to single-use plastic straws. And all we can say is, it’s about friggin’ time.
Sydney, meet the #SydneyDoesntSuck campaign and if you haven’t already heard, it’s the iconic move taken by places like the International Convention Centre, Museum of Contemporary Art and newly joined Opera House and Opera Bar (yep, all of the Opera House’s onsite restaurants will be plastic-straw free by August 1).
