As usual, here at The Urban List we’re all about a large glass of indulgence every now and again… This week is no different. Sydney is ours for the taking, with a bit of this, a bit of that and a whole dash of exclusivity. With elite wines, all American country club vibes, inspired art, Mexican and mixology on the table, this is a week not to be missed.

First Taste William Downie Winemakers Dinner at Pei Modern

Let’s cut to the chase—You’re only as good as your last glass of wine. So, whether you’re a Real-Housewives enthusiast looking for an elaborate soirée with friends, a frequent-flyer saving vineyard go-getter dying for sip of the Tuscan countryside or just a loving wino in general, Paddock to Plate is your first look at William Downie’s vintage 2015 wines—plus a sneaky six course shebang of a dinner at Pei Modern, hosted by the winemaker himself and accompanied by world-class chef and restaurateur, Mark Best. Start off your night with a dazzling kingfish sashimi, panazella buffalo mozzarella, steamed Murray cod, eggplant tartare and duck confit to end with a decadent chocolate tart with orange curd and sherbet for a night to surpass all others. With a plethora of high-end pinot noir to taste and unapologetically fall head over heels for, we won’t be surprised if you never plan on leaving.

Where: Pei Modern When: Thursday 25th February Cost: $150 per person (Bookings are essential)

LA Nights at Darlo Country Club

For anyone who’s ever wanted to join a Country Club but doesn’t know the difference between a bogey and a stableford (yes I may have googled that), Darlo’s offers that good ol’ fashioned, upper-echelon, country club knack without the golfing and horse know how. Their laid-back, modern take on a rich man’s dinner means lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, $5 rosé and arancini balls are a perfect match we’d wish we thought of ourselves. A crisp $40 will get you a flavoursome Bel-Air board on Darlo’s most coveted of L.A Nights and an extra thousand brownie points from your pals. All pulled off by the boys from Lobo Plantation and The Island, it’s safe to say you’re in good hands.

Shall we take the Bentley or the bus this Thursday?

Trolley'd Cocktail Class

Snub the air hostess, move those tray tables from their upright position and get ready for flying with a dash of excitement. Trolley’d is the ultimate fleet of mixologists in the sky—Australia’s only airline themed, mobile bar service, working straight out of re-purposed airline trolleys. Forged with native Australian and local organic produce, their cocktail masterclass, here to show you the ropes on some classics, prove that the best elixirs in life can be just as wild as they are environmentally sustainable. With concoctions like their hemp smoked, fig, rooftop honey and chai old-fashioneds, these kids are an interesting fleet. It’s everything you know and love about flying, minus the crying babies and the couple making out in the exit row #thankgod.

Where: Williams-Sonoma, Bondi Junction When: Thursday 25th February Cost: $84.95 per person

Henley's Wall Art

It’s art with a health kick. Henley’s Wholefoods is on the hunt for a budding Jack to paint their new Foster Street home like one of their fresh, free-range and wholesomely gluten-free, French girls. With a paintbrush in one hand, a possible double shot skim cappuccino in the other, and a light bulb in your brain, their 20 square metre currently empty and bare wall could be your canvas for the taking. Plus you’ll have ultimate bragging rights and the option to either snag a cool $500 cash prize or a fully-catered exhibition hosted afterhours right in the new heart of Surry Hills. Think you’ve got the chops? Check out their mood board for inspo and sign up here.

Where: Henley’s Wholefood’s, Surry Hills When: Entries close Friday 4th March Cost: Free

Friends Trivia at Beach Burrito

Beach Burrito is here to remind you that purchasing the complete 20th anniversary edition box set of Friends for $89.95 (plus postage and handling) and spending almost every Saturday night eating Ben & Jerry’s and watching ‘The Best of Joey’ re-runs for most of your adult life were possibly two of the best ideas you’ve had, ever. Voted in by the people, for the people, Friend’s Trivia is already set to be a crowded crowd favourite and a massive hit. Brush up on all your F.R.I.E.N.D.S know how, perk up with a coffee or three, make sure your beach house floors are sandy, your bones are old AF, your cat’s smelly and your tastebuds raring for some Mexican than can only be described as downright magical #theonewithallthetrivia.

Where: Beach Burrito, Coogee When: Wednesday 24th February Cost: Free
