If you needed another excuse to escape winter and head to Bali, Tropicola is it. The brand new beach club from the guys behind Seminyak's iconic Motel Mexicola will be sitting pretty on Seminyak Beach as of this Saturday 11 August!
Tropicola will be home to two pools, three bars (across multiple levels, because #fancy) and a woodfire open kitchen. Steve Skelly, the man behind the food at Motel Mexicola, Da Maria and Luigi's Hot Pizza, is at the helm of the kitchen and you can expect deliciously fresh produce—think seafood, grilled meats and simple but delectable vegetables—that is perfect for grazing through the day with a cocktail in hand.
And cocktails there will be! Get your hands on a Tropicolada—a pina colada which uses jackfruit instead of pineapple—the Arak N Roll—Tropicola's own espresso martini which uses Arak infused with Kintamani coffee beans and mandarin peel—or one of their many cocktails jugs or lageritas! Tropicola is set to be just as entertaining (and just as 'grammable) as Motel Mexicola, so we'd recommend getting in early to nab a good spot and staying late into the night.
But the beach club is just the beginning guys. Over the course of the following year, Tropicola will also become a hotel—and an affordable one at that with rooms starting at $100 a night—a restaurant and a rooftop bar which will have views from the Bukit Peninsula all the way to Tanah Lot.
So it looks like you'll need to book one trip this month, and another one for 2019. You're welcome.
