Following a string of super cool skateboarding events in New York, LA, Paris, NYC and Shanghai, Sydney is getting its very own City Copa open skate comp.

The skate session premiered earlier this year in NYC, and basically involves custom built street obstacles, a cash pool prize of $2,500 for the best tricks of the day, a DJ spinning tunes, a BBQ and a bar too.

As part of this skate jam, you’ll also be able to watch Aussie Adidas team riders like Dennis Durrant, Tom Snape, Gabriel Summers, Adam Davies, Billy Lukins and Vanessa Miles. They’ll be joined by Japanese team riders Shin Sanbongi, Hiroki Muraoka and Kento Yoshioka.
