Hospitality juggernauts Dane Gorrel and Matt Weir have taken on the venue formerly known as World Bar. Having also recently reopened the neighbouring institution Club 77 on William Street, we know these guys have big things in the pipeline for this iconic joint.
Earlier this month, World Bar announced it was closing its doors (and teapots) but the space will be preserved as Club Cali, the next generation of the iconic Bayswater Road club scene.
The duo is set to collaborate with the likes of iRock Entertainment and Poster Child to have different nights over the weekend, from house and tech to hip-hop and afrobeat. Along with this, the World Bar legacy will be very much kept alive with ‘The Wall’ to continue every Wednesday.
