The Holiday season is upon us and its time to get organised, and by organised we mean working out what you going to be drinking on Christmas day.
Let’s be honest, gin is an ‘all the time’ beverage, but given the occasion we thought we’d call out some of the best Christmas Gins on the market.
Four Pillars Australian Christmas Gin
You can always trust Four Pillars to come to the party with something special come Christmas time.
Shout out to distiller Cam’s mother, Wilma, whose 1968 Christmas pudding recipe is used in the distilling process alongside juniper, cinnamon, star anise, coriander and angelica. From there it’s mixed with aged gin, and boom, you’ve got Christmas Gin. Melbourne artist Stephen Baker’s artwork, 'Basking in the Sun', covers the 700ml bottle. Sip on it as is, or put it in a cocktail.
Here’s Looking At You, Kid Christmas Gin
Here’s Looking At You, Kid’s Christmas Gin has been inspired by the true staple of any Aussie Christmas—the pavlova.
Flavour notes include strawberry gum, river mint, lilly pilly, finger lime and passion berry. The refreshing drop can be sipped over ice, as a G&T or mixed with cranberry soda to keep things extra festive. Also available in 100ml mini size, in case you need to hide your booze from Nan.
McHenry Distillery Tasmania Christmas Gin
This artisanal Christmas gin is taking a more traditional angle. The McHenry Distillery Master Distiller was the first in Australia to use rare frankincense, myrrh and gold to create this sensational liquor.
Sacred Christmas Pudding Gin
Taking Christmas themed booze to the next level. The Sacred Christmas Pudding gin is infused with an 8kg Christmas pudding in some high-quality gin for two whole months. It’s then re-distilled to produce a transparent gin with a ton of flavour.
