It was the hyped music festival that never happened (at least the way we all anticipated it to), which landed organiser, Billy McFarland, a six-year prison sentence.

Described as the most “exclusive festival the world has ever seen”, Fyre Festival 2017 ended up being one the biggest fails in the music industry. That is, the entire event fell through, leaving a blazing trail of lawsuits and stranded, disappointed and damn angry festival-goers.

Directed by Chris Smith (Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond), Fyre is set to give an unrivalled behind the scenes look at what really went on, and how this luxurious festival on a private island in the Bahamas, promoted by the likes of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, turned into leaky tents, cancelled performances and stale cheese sandwiches. Fyre is a Netflix Original produced by Vice Studios, Library Films and Jerry Media and will drop globally on January 18. The official trailer is will be released in the next few days so watch this space.
