Picture this: you’re sitting in a luxury train compartment, travelling through fields of blue agave and sipping all-you-can-drink tequila.

This isn’t a dreamland, it’s a real-life experience that exists in Mexico and it can be all yours for around $180.

The Jose Cuervo Express travels between Guadalajara and Tequila and signing up for the Premium Plus package unlocks the glory of unlimited tequila, along with a guided professional tasting, tour of the Jose Cuervo La Rojeña Distillery (the oldest in Latin America), time to check out the town of Tequila, a Mexican show and an agave harvesting demonstration.

Departing every Saturday (and returning you to Guadalajara on the same day) the journey is around an hour each way and the train bar is stocked with plenty of tequila, as well as rum, vodka and whiskey, so you won’t go thirsty. And to avoid it all going to your head there are Mexican snacks prepared on board, plus you get to start the day on a healthy note with fresh fruit.

The Premium Plus wagons are decked out with wooden interiors, plush seating, vintage lighting and mirrored accents. And the view outside is just as gorgeous with rows and rows of agave fields.

All that’s left for you to do is decide if you want to ride the train at sunset or sunrise—you’ll be transferred by bus in the opposite direction depending on which you choose.
