After a weekend full of activities, the start of the week can seem like all your fun has just come to a screaming halt. Thankfully, Sydney has got a smorgasbord of events for you to lap up, even on seemingly mediocre Mondays.

Here are five epic things to do this week in Sydney.

Monday 18 March

Bottomless BBQ At Nola

Come Monday night, the go is that you’ll haul ass into Nola, kick off with a shared Pit-Masters Pick plate of meats and continue to order as much meat as your stomach desires (in 50g servings). These guys are throwing up an all-you-can-eat meat feast every Monday and let’s just say, if you’re the first to go all-in on the BBQ every other day, you’ll want to get around this one.

When: Monday 18 March Where: Nola Smokehouse, Barangaroo Cost: $49 per person

DANCEHALL

Your first taste of Commune’s explosive new dance classes will have you coming back week after week for more heart-pumping, hip-rolling sessions. Join dancer Ama Ryllis as she takes you through Afro-Caribbean dance techniques, body movements and party vibes. The class is all about having the time of your life and working up a sweat (don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes and something you can get down in without ripping a seam).

When: Monday 18 March, 6pm-6:45pm Where: Commune, Bourke St Cost: $10- $15 per person

Tuesday 19 March

SOUND HEALING IN NEWTOWN

Healing Waves has brought the magic of sound healing to our corner of the world. It’s the ancient healing practice that has been used to treat stress and anxiety along with guiding people through meditation. This Tuesday night two highly experienced sound healers will take you on a meditative journey, creating a sound bath for you to lay back in and wash away the stress of everyday life.

When: Tuesday 19 March, 7pm-8:30pm Where: Newtown Neighbourhood Centre Cost: $40 per person

Wednesday 20 March

ART SOMEWHERE CREATIVE HANGOUT

Art Somewhere’s Wednesday night creative hangouts are honestly what everyone has been missing in their life. How it works is you rock up to 107 Redfern St with $5 and gain access to paper, paints, incredible company and a chill, no-judgement space. You can turn up at 6pm and stay for however long you like, with a project in mind that you’d like help with or not. The bar’s open if you get snacky, or you can bring your own dinner and eat it while you paint.

THE CRUCIBLE AT BELLA VISTA FARMS

Experience Sport for Jove’s incredible rendition of The Crucible this Tuesday as it returns to the magnetic venue of Bella Vista Farms, the space it was originally created for. Directed by Damien Ryan, in this critically acclaimed production Arthur Miller’s classic story will have you on the edge of your seat as it takes you on a journey exploring the ordinary evils in society, persecution through ignorance and fear of otherness.
