If you’ve travelled to the UK, you’ll know Brick Lane’s Beigel Bake is a mecca of all baked things delicious.
Opening at the SLYFOX in Enmore, a close replica of the iconic London institution has now landed at your Inner West doorstep with lashings of pickles, mustard, slow-cooked beef and beer all at the ready.
If you’re not the biggest meat-lover, fear not, there’s a chickpea crusted cauliflower beigel ready for the taking. As for the beigels on offer, they’re all 100 percent vegan with a bunch of gluten-free rings of goodness available too.
This gem has been donned Salt Beef Beigel and will serve these two combos with waffle fries and your choice of sauce (garlic aioli, chilli jam, smokey BBQ, toasted cumin and lemon aioli and a heap more) for $16 a pop.
As for the difference between these bad boys and your resident “bagel”, well, much like your everyday staples, these beigels are boiled in hot water then browned in the oven but are made so they stay soft, fluffy and chewy.
The kitchen will be cooking every Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm onwards and tunes will be provided through a “supper set”.
And from May 21 – 25, these guys are also slinging out their bagels for $1 to celebrate. Head here for more.
