The future is well and truly here: virtual brunches are a thing happening in Sydney right now.
Yep, hot from Bondi’s Panama House is Australia’s first virtual brunch featuring live DJs and a menu to kick off any glorious at-home food coma. The event is locked to be hosted via Zoom and you’ll be able to order up food packages from Panama House’s online store until Thursday 9 April at 12pm. Keep in mind that there are only 75 spots available, so make sure you get in early ie. now.
As for the food package, this guy will include a three-course meal kit, which can be prepared in under 20 minutes and will also be loaded with a selection of booze from Panama House’s famous bottomless brunch menu. You’ll be able to choose from a feast that includes Mexican-style baked eggs with sourdough, a chicken enchilada with salsa ranchera or a grilled veggie enchilada packed with basil sauce (for the full menu break-down, head here).
Drink options include a starter cocktail (which could look like a Bloody Mary or Paloma to share) and a main drink, where you have the option of mimosas, beers or rosé. You can also opt-in for espresso martinis or a good old fashioned margarita.
The virtual brunch package will sit at $99 for two and delivers to Bondi, North Bondi, Bondi Junction, Tamarama, Coogee, Rose Bay and Dover Heights. Additional delivery fees will apply for areas outside of this catchment. The brunch package will be brought to you on the morning of Saturday 11 April with streaming kicking off from 12pm until 3pm.
