Man, we’re suckers for big news. And this, our friends, is huuuuge!

We’re literally weeks away from welcoming an upmarket, cruelty-free marketplace—the first of its kind in Australia no less!—and we’re seriously bursting with anticipation.

Those in the know already have a massive crush on GC fashion boutique Lovechild Place. Given the overwhelming success of Lovechild’s shop and their bi-monthly markets in 2017, it appears the concept and energy was too strong to overlook. And today, we get to share all the details of their trailblazing new venture. You ready?

To be known as LCMP (AKA, Lovechild Market Place), this 1,000-square metre, two-level venue, with a prominent position on the northern bound lane of the Gold Coast Highway between Miami and Nobby Beach, is certain to become a vibrant new hangout for every Gold Coaster.

Downstairs, leading plant-based businesses will be open seven days for breakfast, lunch and, soon to follow, dinner and drinks. Picture wooden decked seating at the front under an area named THE PATIO. A feature breeze block wall and greenery-filled garden area to be dubbed the BREEZE GARDEN (for those who choose to dine from more casual eateries such as Flour of Life Bakery). And, what we’re seriously frothing over, plans for a grand wooden deck to span the 200-square metre rear area, with a soon-to-be licensed bar and alfresco dining zone, and more good vibes than you’ll possibly know what to do with. Um, excited much?!

Casual, high end-style restaurants to form @lcmp_miami’s THE DINES include:

Flour Of Life Bakery: No longer will southern and central fans need to trek to Helensvale for their fave baked and sweet treats, oh no! Flour Of Life Bakery will be operating every morning with doughnuts, croissants, ‘sausage’ rolls and savoury pies, whisked in fresh daily from their northern bakery.

Flora By Greenhouse: The trailblazing Greenhouse gals are ensuring you can now get your Greenhouse fix at any hour; with Natalie, Charlie and the team operating a gourmet delicatessen with nourishing sandwiches, wraps, salads and coffee across mornings and lunches.

Gigi’s Pizzeria: A huge win for the Gold Coast, this authentic Sydney pizzeria has a cult following in its original Newtown location, even after making the bold move over two years ago to go exclusively vegan. Gigi’s traditional approach to pizza-making and meat-free pizza by the slice is the stuff you’ve been dreaming about, while their dairy-free Parmesan and Italian gelato needs to be experienced to be believed.

I Like Ramen: You’ve already fallen head over heels for these guys, so you’ll no longer need to wait for their Tuesday pop-up at Bine to get your fix. At LCMP, I Like Ramen will be serving their delicious vegan-friendly ramen on the reg, along with other savoury deliciousness such as panko mushrooms, meat-free po’boys, plus more.

BVK (Burgers vs Kebabs): New global trend? BVK is bringing fancy fast food to Miami and being touted as the world’s first (go Gold Coast!). Selling plant-based KEBABS (yes, we’re serious!) straight off the rotisserie and stuffed with loads of crunchy veggie and flavour-packed sauces. Together with a delicious line up of cheesy burgers and fries, a visit to BVK is certain to become a bucket-list item for any Australian plant-based foodie. Basically, anyone really.

In addition to the fancy fast food dining options downstairs, stage two will see Abbey moving and expanding her uber popular Lovechild Place clothing and wares into the second level retail space; to be joined by a cruelty-free nail and beauty bar, with more businesses yet to be announced.

With so many hands and hearts dedicated to bringing LCMP to life, you know they’re going to create something magnetic that the entire community will embrace with open arms. We for one will be first in line when the doors are thrown open!

And you won’t need to wait long either… While the team has a tonne of work ahead of them, they are very close to announcing an opening date. With plans to open stage two—including the upstairs retail level and night-time trade with cocktails, weekend DJs and pop-up vegan markets—by late autumn/early winter.

For all the updates and tasty teasers while you wait, jump over to LCMP's Insta account and give them a follow!
