Yes, the ultimate treat of 2020, otherwise known as the Messina bake-at-home cookie pie, is making another major comeback. This time, in gooey, jammy, stick-to-the-roof-of-your mouth peanut butter jelly form.
Messina's hefty cookie pies have been hugely popular—first a choc-chip creation, then a rose-coloured red velvet cookie and most recenlty, a Nutella number, but this pie may just take the cake. Looking especially drool-worthy, it's filled with choc-chips that melt when baked, fresh raspberry jam and a generous amount of peanut butter—you just know you want to dig a big ol' spoon in.
The PBJ monster cookie pie is available to pre-order now in Sydney and Brisbane—so you may want to jump online and order one for pick up between July 17 to 19 . Melbourne, you've got different instructions—just head in to the Fitzroy store to get one, or order it on Deliveroo (while stocks last).
As usual, you can cop a single pie for $20, or gelato-pie combo packs from $28–$39. More info is here.
