If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that there is no time to waste when it comes to treating yourself. Chug that cocktail, book that cabana and hike that sunset walk. And, good news, we have just the thing you’ll want to add to your summer-living repertoire.

Yep, it’s glamping but not as you know it. Called “Bedouin on the Beaches"—a pop-up hotel situation perfect for couples has appeared in the heart of Manly this December. Brought to you by Simple Pleasures Camping Co., 10 luxury bell tents are taking a temporary home on the usually private grounds of St Patrick’s Seminary at Manly’s North Head (the headland estate perched right above Shelly Beach where Baz Luhrmann’s Great Gatsby was filmed).

The adults-only tents are equipped with queen bedding, Persian rugs, fairy lights, a $50 brekky voucher for the charming Boathouse at Shelly Beach and you can scope necessary add-ons like champagne on arrival and cheese boards from the local cheese mecca of The Artisan Cheese Room.

You’ll want to get in fast though, “Bedouin on the Beaches” kicks off Saturday 26 December 2020 until Sunday 31 January 2021.

You can also rent out this harbourside cabana this summer.
