It’s warming up again which means it's time to make the most of it. Market hopping is the ultimate summer weekend activity. Whether it’s dropping by the farmer’s market for some fresh produce or picking up a handmade gift from a stall—these markets really hit the mark!
Here are the best markets to check out this November.
Surry Hills Market
Surry Hills
This community market has been around since the 80s, with more than 60 unique stalls and a community cafe, the Surry Hills Markets embody everything that’s great about the suburb. Specialising in handmade, second-hand and recycled goods, we suggest you hit the $5 "Not Too Shabby" rack for all the sneaky trinkets.

Carriageworks Farmers Market
Eveleigh
Head down to Carriageworks for its weekly farmers market featuring the best fresh, seasonal produce from all over NSW. The Locals Market
Surry Hills
This zero-waste farmer’s market on the rooftop of the Paramount Recreation Club is all about delivering high-quality organic produce to the inner-city with zero-waste. Pre-ordering your produce online means that the right amount is brought to the market, and ensures that absolutely nothing is left over. A calico bag must be ordered with your first purchase but you’re encouraged to bring your tote back to the market every week to exchange it for a freshly laundered one. There’s absolutely no plastic, including punnets, and the whole market is an organic, waste-free dream.
When: Every Saturday, 9am Where: Paramount Recreation Club, Surry Hills
Double Bay Street Festival
Double Bay
This festival meets market combo celebrates everything that makes Double Bay great. There’ll be over 350 stalls, 30 street food vendors, live bands and performances from the area's most beloved street buskers. This is the place to go for all the Christmas shopping ops, good food and a sneaky glass of wine. Head here to learn more.

Tramsheds Growers Markets
Forrest Lodge
These markets (a collab between Tramsheds and Bodega 1904) feature a selection of seasonal fruit and veg and sustainable products from local artisans. What really makes these markets stand out, however, is their changing schedule of workshops and masterclasses featuring winemakers, cheesemakers, chefs, authors and artists—so you can get a little education with your produce. Information about who exactly will be at each market and which workshops are on offer are published here closer to the date.
When: Every Sunday, 8am - 2pm Where: Tramsheds

Over 60 artists and collectives will assemble at Carriageworks and present pieces that illustrate traditional and contemporary practices within the First Nations art world. Suitcase Rummage
Coogee Beach
Who doesn’t love a good suitcase rummage? For this one, a bunch of second-hand sellers head down to the beach with a suitcase or two of their pre-loved goodies and we all browse and try and find them a good home. There are so many things to love about this event: it’s all second-hand wares so we’re helping to fight climate change, and also it’s right along the gorgeous Coogee Beach, so you can have a shop and a dip all in one.
