The Oxford Tavern, the inner-west institution known for its craft beers and iconic BBQ smoker, is locked to host one hell of a pickle blowout this month.
Aptly dubbed Rise ‘N Brine, the one-day festival (which is totally free) will churn out specially brewed pickle beers from local breweries Batch Brewing Co. and Yulli’s Brews, a full-on pickle-inspired BBQ menu with pickle brine wings, fried pickle dogs and pickle pops, plus pickle slushies and pickle brine and whisky concoctions.
To top things off, you can also go hard on a pickle eating competition if you’re a true fiend for the briny stuff (the winner is in for pickle prizes and bar vouchers).
