Sydney, we’ve reached peak burger-mania. There is a burger high tea in town, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. For $30 per person, you get a three-tiered platter piled high with sliders, hand-cut fries, jalapeno poppers, fried onion rings and mac balls (lol at the bowl of salad in the belowpic). Seriously, dream really do come true.
If there’s ever been an anti-thesis to #cleaneating, this is it. It all goes down at The Hanging Ladder in Balmain and the high tea is available to share between two, four or eleven of your hungriest/most-hungover mates. We challenge you to zazz things up and try to go it alone. It’s madness but we have faith in you guys.
You’ve got to book ahead, so make sure you fling a message via their Facebook page (or pick up the phone, you know, like old times), then grab your friends, get your doctor on speed-dial, and dive in.
Still hungry? They have a fondue burger. That’s a double cheeseburger, spiked with chips, and a cheese sauce poured over the top. It gives us chest pains just looking at it, but according to Instagram, many have conquered the beast and lived to tell the tale.
